The CJ Cup, in its third installment this year, will take place at Club Nine Bridges in Jeju from Thursday, October 17th to Sunday, October 20th. The total prize money for this installment of The CJ Cup is 975.1 million USD including the winner's prize of 175.5 million USD, which is up 250,000 USD from last year, and this is the biggest prize money allocated for all 2018-2019 PGA Tour official events except for The Players Championship, The World Golf Championships, and four major tournaments.
This year, The CJ CUP is making huge waves among golf fans with its stellar lineup of contestants, which includes defending champion and the current world's No.1 ranked golfer Brooks Koepka and inaugural champion Justin Thomas as well as many other famous golfers including living PGA Tour legend Phil Mickelson, Gyeong-ju Choi, and major championship winners Jordan Spieth, Patrick Reed, and Sergio García.
