CJ takes the initiative in achieving UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by contributing
to solving various social problems with the participation of employees. SDGs are the shared goals
of humanity that must be achieved by the UN and the global community by 2030.
CJ, as a food & food service company and the leader of the Korean food industry, is sharing healthy foods by volunteering in food sharing with our products and services. It also contributes to making people’s lives healthier through fun and pleasant volunteer activities for employees and participants beyond just food sharing.
Pro Bono, which utilizes employee expertise, is a volunteer activity that CJ is able to excel at, with its various fields of business and subsidiaries. CJ provides high quality education and cultural opportunities for the socially vulnerable and underprivileged groups through this activity, especially focusing on providing cultural experiences and mentoring services as a company that creates culture.
CJ is conducting various volunteer activities that contribute to solving social problems by cooperating with NGOs and social enterprises. Also, it is fulfilling its responsibility as a member of the community by carrying out hands-on volunteer activities that can be easily done in the workplace and regularly participating in volunteer service at welfare centers.
CJ employees have been continuously participating in volunteer activities to protect the environment not only near their workplaces but also throughout the community. Furthermore, they continue to volunteer in protecting the environment not only in Korea but also in other countries of the world with the belief that protecting the environment and nature is the foundation for sustainable life in the future.
