CJ Olive Young announced on December 28, 2020 that they delivered 1,000 pink boxes to Naneun Bom, a Seoul municipal teenage women’s health center at an online delivery ceremony under the Pink Box Sharing Campaign 2020 it held on December 24, 2020.
The ceremony was held with Park Joon-sung, Strategy Support Manager, CJ Olive Young and Lee-mok So-hee, Director of Naneun Bom Center, in attendance through a video conference system.

1,000 employees from stores across the nation joined the campaign voluntarily amid the COVID-19 pandemic and made heat packs and sleep masks at home

On that day, CJ Olive Young donated 1,000 pink boxes containing handmade heat packs and sleep masks. The pink boxes were made at home by employees from Olive Young stores nationwide, and conveyed the wishes of employees that the gifts would warm the hearts of teenage girls in the year-end season. They put in daily necessities such as sanitary pads, mask cases and other hygiene goods inside to show their thoughtful care.

The Pink Box Campaign aims to donate female sanitary products hand made by Olive Young employees along with other daily necessities in a pink box to teenage girls from low-income families. The company launched the campaign in 2016 when the news of a girl from poor family using shoe insoles as alternatives for sanitary pads became a controversial news item, and has since continued the campaign to this day.

Pink boxes delivered to 5,600 girls as of this year… CJ Olive Young to “continue activities that promote healthy beauty”.

With the addition of 1,000 pink boxes at the delivery ceremony, CJ Olive Young has now reached a total of 5,600 girls with their pink boxes. This was made possible by participation of employees for five years, which is not just a simple act of donation, but rather a sincere act of sharing.
A CJ Olive Young representative said, “I truly hope the pink boxes we made with the care and active participation of all employees are a heartfelt gift that will warm the body and the soul of teenage girls from low-income families this winter. We will continue sharing by promoting healthy beauty based on sincerity and persistency.”
In addition to giving out the pink boxes, CJ Olive Young is also expanding its social contribution activities that improve women’s quality of life in a healthy way. This year, it offered online beauty counseling aimed at improving the self-esteem of unmarried single mothers, and also launched Olive Young Girls Education Supporters for the first time to raise awareness of children who are in the blind spot of Korea’s welfare system.
