A number of the major players on the PGA TOUR have confirmed their participation in THE CJ CUP, scheduled to be held for four days starting Thursday, October 15 at Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S.
In addition to defending champion Justin Thomas, who has already announced his intention to participate in the event, many other golfers representing the PGA TOUR — including some of the top golfers in the world rankings, such as Dustin Johnson, Jon Rahm and Rory McIlroy, past FedEx Cup winners Justin Rose and Jordan Spieth, and major title holders Bryson DeChambeau and Bubba Watson — are set to deliver high-level performances in the event.

With all of the current top 5 golfers in the world rankings having expressed their intention to participate in THE CJ CUP, the event is expected to draw the attention of golf fans from around the world.
Dustin Johnson, the world's No. 1 ranked golfer who’s having a great year this year with winning The PGA TOUR Player of the Year award and the FedEx Cup, will be participating in THE CJ CUP. Of his participation in THE CJ CUP, Dustin Johnson said, "When I heard the news that THE CJ CUP would be held at Shadow Creek, I got very excited. I remember having fun playing golf with family and friends on that course before. Shadow Creek is a really excellent course, and I think it will prove to be a course befitting THE CJ CUP. I am happy to compete in THE CJ CUP for the first time, and I can’t wait for the week of the tournament.” The event's inaugural and defending champion Justin Thomas, who is the world’s No.3 ranked golfer, has also decided to participate in the coming U.S. edition of THE CJ CUP in a bid for his third trophy at THE CJ CUP.
In addition, current world No.2 Jon Rham and two-time FedEx Cup winner Rory McIlroy, ranked 4th, and Bryson DeChambeau, the world No. 5 who won this year's US Open, will make their debuts at THE CJ CUP, with a resolution to yield good results. Rory McIlroy said, "I look forward to The CJ CUP, which will be held at Shadow Creek this coming October. A Host of the PGA TOUR's Leading Superstar Golfers to Play in THE CJ CUP

That a host of the PGA TOUR’s leading star players have confirmed their participation in THE CJ CUP will come as good news to golf fans in South Korea, who have no choice but to watch it via TV broadcasts.
Former world No.1 Jordan Spieth will be playing in THE CJ CUP for his second consecutive years with a view to achieving his 12th win on the PGA TOUR, while Justin Rose, who has so far earned a total of 10 wins on the PGA TOUR, said the following of his upcoming participation in the event, “It is regrettable that the event isn't going to take place in Jeju this year. However, I believe the forthcoming edition, scheduled to be held at Shadow Creek, Las Vegas, will turn out to be equally great.” The other superstar golfers who have expressed their intention to play THE CJ CUP include: Bubba Watson who boasts a total of 12 wins on the PGA TOUR including 2 wins of the Masters tournament, Ian Poulter who has a record of 3 PGA TOUR wins and 12 European tour wins, and Rickie Fowler who has a great following in South Korea.
