From the devastation and ruins of the Korean war, CJ built a sugar
mill and succeeded in domestic sugar production in November 1953.
While there was an extreme shortage of food, Cheil Jedang not only
supplied sugar but also, lessened the dependency on sugar imports
which drastically improved the daily lives of the Korean people

their technology to make sugar. The Korean people, however,
constructed a large-sized sugar refinery plant with sophisticated

The movie Haeundae made by CJ Entertainment was a box office hit by passing
