CJ Foods receives award for advertising excellence


The Korean-language newspaper, Joongang-Ilbo had a ceremony at the Wilshire Grand Hotel in Los Angeles in October to celebrate the 29th year of publishing in the States. At the ceremony, they announced that CJ Foods won Joongang advertising award for excellence in marketing.

Kyuyeol Chang, professor of Pepperdine University was the chairman of the awarding committee. He said the committee considered consumer-centered perspectives as the most important aspect in screening. They emphasized five factors consumer satisfaction, ease of understanding, design, copy, and space consideration. He explained CJ Foods won first place because the Het-Bahn ad fully satisfied these criteria.

The runners-up were Hyundai Motors, Kia Motors, Nara Bank, and Asiana Airline.
