Lee Seon-hwa to win LPGA Ginn Tribute

Lee Seon-hwa finally put an end to the no winning march by Korean players that lasted for 1 year.

On the 2nd of this month (Korean time) Lee achieved the dramatic come-from-behind victory in the final round of LPGA Ginn Tribute held in Charleston River Town Golf Club (Par: 72, 6459 yard) located in South Carolina, US.

Although teed off the final round 9 pars behind Sophie Gustafson, the leader at tee-off, Lee recorded 5 under par to become the joint winner with Karrie Webb.

In overtime held at the 18th hole, Lee defeated Webb who recorded 3-putt under bogey by maintaining the par to win the match.

As the first winning in the season, Lee scored her personal third win. Lee also achieved the record of winning each year since her debut in LPGA 1 Tour.

With the prize of $390,000, Lee’s prize money ranking jumped to the 4th.
