CJ Pansalt, the First Certification in the Food Sector from the Korea Medical Association.

Last March 2nd, CJ’s low sodium salt, Pansalt was the first to receive certification in the food sector from the Korea Medical Association (KMA). CJ says that as Pansalt is certified by the KMA as low sodium salt, it can use KMA’s logo and certification for promoting Pansalt.

The KMA says, “Pansalt has 40% lower sodium than ordinary refined salt, so the KMA certifies Pansalt.” CJ will emphasize that Pansalt is a product which can improve food culture in Korea. CJ started to produce Pansalt in early 2006. Jointly developed by the Finland government and Helsinki medical school, Pansalt is one of three major Finland foods with Xylitol and Benecol (vegetable margarine), is patented in 16 countries including the US, UK, Germany, and Japan, and is sold in over 20 countries. As more and more people seek low sodium products, Pansalt is also used for various CJ products. Other companies are currently planning to use Pansalt for their products.
