CGV selected as the best brand for 4 consecutive years
CJ CGV, the representative multiplex of Korea, was selected as the No. 1 company in movie theater division of 2007 National Brand Competitiveness Index (NBCI) for 4 consecutive years. Furthermore, for the survey of Korea Brand Power Index (K-BPI) in March, CJ CGV was selected as the No. 1 company in movie theater division for 5 consecutive years to be acknowledged of its brand value and quality. CGV has never missed the No. 1 spot in these two surveys since they introduced the movie theater division. Therefore, CGV has been proven to be the best movie theater in Korea both in name and reality.
National Brand Competitiveness Index administered by Korea Productivity Center assesses corporate brand competitiveness in terms of marketing activities, recognition level, image and loyalty, etc. and converts the results into indices out of the full score of 100. This year, NBCI was carried out on over 40000 consumers nationwide.
CGV earned 73 points, which was 1 point higher than last year, to secure the No. 1 position for 4 consecutive years. Most of all, it is being evaluated that CGV has strongly secured its position among consumers in terms of improving its brand competitiveness by widening the gap from other brands each year.
