CJ FoodVille Expands the Chinese Cuisine Market

CJ Foodville, a general dining enterprise, is actively expanding the market in Chinese Cuisine.

Last December, CJ Foodville has successfully opened the first branch of China Factory, a Chinese cuisine family restaurant, at Indugwon, Gwacheon City. The second branch of China Factory is opening 2 months later, on the upcoming 13th. It is located in Mok-Dong, on the second floor of the Christian Broadcasting Station, which is across the street from the Hyundai Department Store. This second branch is equipped with a total of 160 seats.

The Mok-Dong branch of China Factory ( has much expectation, since it is situated in a highly-populated district. The location is ideal: besides the metro station, there are numerous large-scale apartment complexes, TV broadcasting stations such as SBS and CBS, and the Hyundai Department store.

Furthermore, this specific building is accommodating other enterprises of CJ Foodville, such as ‘VIPS’ and ‘Cold Stone’ in addition to the affiliate enterprise of ‘Olive Young,’ which encourages a mutual synergy effect.

Following the Indugwon and Mok-dong branch, China Factory will open 5 more branches within this year. The Dae-chi branch will be opening on upcoming may, and the 6 branches are aspiring to reach a sale of 10 billion Korean Won.

In order to effectively expand the Chinese cuisine market, CJ Foodville has organized a Chinese Cuisines Enterprise team to strengthen the organization while also actively preparing a marketing strategy to emphasize the merits of China Factory, “Fun” and “Popular taste”.
