CJ and Korea University will establish ‘CJ Food Safety Hall’ in order to achieve world-class technology and capacity in food safety.
CJ Corporation and Korea University held a groundbreaking ceremony for ‘CJ Food Safety Hall’ on August 17, 2006 at 10 AM at Korea University.  ‘CJ Food Safety Hall’ will undergo construction works for about 15 months and will be completed in November 2007.  CJ Corporation will fully supply KRW 7 billion for the construction works.
‘CJ Food Safety Hall’ will be a five-story, 4,502㎡ building with one basement and four on-ground levels and will include educational, R&D, and welfare facilities for food-related researches, education, training, and consulting.
Various research rooms, lecture rooms, BSL (BIO SAFETY LEVEL 3 – ultramodern medical/chemical/biological/food research centers), sterilization room, cold room, organic/inorganic laboratories, and microbiological laboratories will be located in the building which is expected to become Korea’s greatest food safety center to study biologically and biologically hazardous materials.CJ and Korea University are planning to make ‘CJ Food Safety Hall’ the specialized research organization with world-class technology in food safety and contribute to society and public health by developing and supplying total food safety solutions.
