Seri Pak Shows Signs of Recovery, Heralding an Escape from slump

Share

Seri Pak (CJ) heralded the sign of recovery after a long tunnel of slump.

Seri Pak made to the 9th place at the LPGA Ginn Clubs & Resorts Open, held in Reunion Resort & Club, Orlando, Florida on the 1st (Korean time) with a final score of 3 under par 285.

At a first glance, 9th place may be an under-performance by Seri Pak who won 22 times in LPGA tours.  However, entry into the Top 10 is commendable given her recently worst-of-its-kind slump.  This record is even more significant since it comes one year after the 69 strokes record that she set at the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic’s final round in July of last year.  Making it to the Top 10 Seri Pak also comes two years after she won semifinals at the August 2004’s Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic.

'Super Peanut' Mi Hyun Kim who won the tournament was also very glad for Seri Pak’s performance who first made a name for the Korean female golfers at the LPGA.  Mi Hyun Kim said "I was so happy to see Seri’s name on the leader board," adding “We too had our share of difficulties, but since I won, I hope that she also recovers”, hoping for the Seri Pak’ good fight.
