The final wave of acts announced by CJ ENM features ATEEZ, CLC, DAY6 (Even of Day), DREAMCATCHER, GHOST9, IZ*ONE, Kim Jae Hawn, Natty, ONEUS, TOO, VERIVERY and WEi, completing the dazzling lineup for the festival.

The first to be added to the final wave of acts were ATEEZ and CLC. ATEEZ, who are gaining increasing global popularity as evidenced by their successful completion of a world tour of 5 cities in North America and 10 cities in Europe within just 6 months of their debut and their winning of the Next Generation Award at the 34th Golden Disc Awards with TikTok, are set to show off their popularity as a leading Korean wave idol group. CLC, who have topped the iTunes top song charts in 11 regions around the world with a new song they put out this month called “Helicopter,” have also confirmed their appearance at the festival. Having made a splendid comeback to the stage after a year’s hiatus, CLC are expected to capture the imagination of global music fans with an even more powerful performance and a more mature appearance.

Subsequently, DAY6 (Even of Day) and DREAMCATCHER also announced their appearance at the festival. DAY6 (Even of Day), the first unit that spun off from DAY6 five years after their debut, have grabbed the No.1 position on the iTunes album charts in 11 overseas regions with their album “The Book of Us: Gluon - Nothing can tear us apart.” Day 6 (Even of Day) are set to deliver a high-class performance fitting for a leading K-pop band. In addition, the 7-piece girl group DREAMCATCHER, who are also showing off their global popularity by having made not only the top 10 on the album charts in about 16 countries, but also the top 100 in Apple Music's album charts in 18 countries, are also slated to go on the festival's stage and continue their explosive growth streak.

K-pop starts leading the Korean wave craze as GHOST9 and IZ*ONE are set to join the festival as well

Global super rookies GHOST9 and IZ*ONE will also be joining the festival. 9-piece rookie boy group GHOST9, who made a spectacular debut by becoming the first K-pop group to perform on the rooftop of 63 Square with a live rendition of their debut song, “Think of Dawn,” are expected to deliver an impressive performance on the stage at their first-ever KCON:TACT with the display of skills exceeding those of a rookie group.  IZ*ONE, who established themselves as a Korean wave idol group in no time after making their debut, also constitute an integral axis of the festival’s powerful lineup. Meeting their fans around the world last month with an online standalone concert called “Oneiric Theater,” IZ*ONE demonstrated a level of global popularity befitting a massively influential girl group.

KIM JAE HWAN and Natty are solo singers, and they are expected to deliver gripping, immersive performances on the festival's stage. The performance by KIM JAE HWAN, who is showing off his talent in various fields as not only a singer-songwriter idol, but also as an all-around entertainer on a number of entertainment shows, will surely captivate viewers. Natty, who made her debut this year and has demonstrated her solid choreography skills with diverse dance covers, is determined to showcase a singular presence as a next-generation female solo singer by making the best use of her endless potential.

With the announcement of their appearance at the festival, next-generation Korean wave stars ONEUS and TOO are further raising the expectations of music fans around the world. Regarded as new major players in the Korean wave, ONEUS have won the New Korean Wave Music Icon Award at the Soribada Best K-Music Awards 2020 and have made the Billboard Social 50 chart 7 weeks in a row with their fourth mini album, “LIVED”. Attention is focused on the monster rookie group TOO, who are displaying the might of a Korean wave idol group by breaking various records after their debut, including getting an extensive piece written on them by U.S. popular music media platform Billboard magazine, becoming global No.1 on the Hanteo chart and entering the top 10 on iTune's K-pop album chart. One cannot help but wonder what kind of topnotch performance they will bring for the music fans at the festival.

The last to be included in the final wave of acts were VERIVERY and WEi, completing the exceedingly powerful lineup of KCON:TACT Season 2. VERIVERY, who succeeded in going beyond Asia and branching into global markets, such as the U.S and Europe, within just 2 years of their debut, are expected to reveal a captivating presence with impeccable teamwork and their unique, bright energy  coming back scheduled for the 13th with their fifth mini album “FACE US.” WEi, a hot rookie group who made their debut today the 5th, are a 6-piece boy group equipped not only with excellent skills, but also with near perfect looks, and they are determined to grow into next-generation K-pop stars by making their name known with an impressive performance at KCON:TACT Season 2.
