CJ Group (CEO Lee Jay-hyun) decides to donate KRW 1 billion to join in the nation’s effort to combat the spread of COVID-19.
CJ Group provides free HMRs, hygiene supplies, and door-to-door courier service to households in Daegu and the Gyeongsangbuk-do region.
CJ Group’s subsidiaries continue to reach out to Daegu and the Gyeongsangbuk-do region to help them overcome the great difficulties due to COVID-19. CheilJedang and CJ Olive Young have provided convenience meals and hygiene supplies, while CJ Logistics has offered free door-to-door courier service.
CJ Group also announced on the 27th that it has donated KRW 1 billion to Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association for medical relief work and damage restoration for victims of COVID-19.
CJ CheilJedang delivered 15,000 units of HMRs, including Hetbahn Cupbahn, for healthcare workers, isolated patients, and the underprivileged in the region, and CJ Olive Young provided 10,000 masks and antibiotic wet wipe packs as well as vitamin beverages.
CJ Logistics will also provide free door-to-door courier service for citizens of Daegu and the Gyeongsangbuk-do region for one month starting March 1.
A CJ staff member said, “We hope to be of help, however small, to those who are experiencing difficulties due to COVID-19. We will continue to capitalize on our strengths and infrastructure to help overcome this crisis as soon as possible.”
