CJ ENM O Shopping Division supports the dreams of adolescents from multicultural families hoping to pursue a career in the media content industry.

12 adolescents from multicultural families visited Vietnam to experience culture and jobs in broadcasting from October 2 to 6

CJ ENM O Shopping Division held the launching ceremony on the 1st of October for ‘Dream On Air’, the global internship program for adolescents from multicultural families, at the Seocho building in Seoul. Hosted by CJ ENM O Shopping Division and organized by nonprofit incorporation Asia Exchange Association, the program will be attended by 12 adolescents from multicultural families. Four Korean college students majoring in Vietnamese were also selected as ‘Dreamers’ to help the adolescents in Vietnam.

Learning and experiencing content production by visiting V-commerce content production center ‘DADA Studio Vietnam’

The participants will be experiencing Vietnamese culture and jobs in broadcasting from October 2 to 6 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. They will visit ‘DADA Studio Vietnam’, Asia’s biggest V-commerce content production center run by CJ ENM O Shopping Division, to observe the media content production process and even experience it in person. They will also participate in cultural exchange activities with students majoring in Korean language at local colleges to better understand Vietnamese culture.

CJ ENM O Shopping Division has been running the global youth internship program since 2017 for adolescents from multicultural families to better understand their parents’ country through overseas job experience and grow into global talents in broadcasting. CJ ENM O Shopping Division covers all expenses for participants including airfare and costs for room and board.

“Recently, more and more adolescents are showing interest in media contents, even claiming that they want to become internet broadcasters when they grow up, which is why we prepared this program,” said Han Jae-Hee, manager of the Win-win Management Team at CJ ENM O Shopping Division. “This internship program will hopefully make these adolescents feel proud of their parents’ country and get one step closer toward becoming global talents in broadcasting based on cultural diversity.”
