Annika Sorenstam challenges the champion of 2005 LPGA

The 2005 LPGA tour ?CJ Nine Bridge Classic?will be held at the Club Nine Bridge from October 28th for four days. This will be the first LPGA tour event hosted in Korea and the fourth tour since the LPGA tours began. Annika Sorenstam who has appeared in the 2002 and 2004 world LPGA tour will challenge for her first championship. However, she faces stiff competition as this event has been the play ground for Korean golf Amazones. Not only is the queen of golf, Se-ri Park (28.CJ), who was the first winner of LPGA , participating, but also the rising star Shi-hyun Ahn (20) from the second championship, and the ?Major Queen?Ji-eun Park (26) who was the champion in the third LPGA. All three have had previous success winning the championship here.  Korea seems ready to beat the the LPGA tour field this year with the confidence it gained from the recent five winnings by the little lady Jeong Jang (25), who got her first tournament victory as a pro in the Women's British Open, Joo-yeon Kim (24) in Women US Open, Mi-na Lee (24) in BMO Canada Women Open, Ji-min Kang (25.CJ) in Corning Classic, and Soo-yeon Kang (29) in Safeway. In this championship, players from the LPGA who are the highest 50 players on the tour?s money list, 12 Korean and Japanese players, and 7 invited players will battle to determine who gets to kiss the championship trophy.
